Spray concentrated lemon juice all over the fence and in the trees. They don’t like strong citrus smells.

There was a cat coming in my yard and shitting. My dog came in one night and had cat shite all over his neck. He was so proud of himself, he just stood there looking at me wagging his tail. I was not happy having to give him a bath at 10:30 pm.

If the cat is killing vermin, you're getting a good deal.

The cat does serve a purpose in the neighborhood.

But, I’m pretty sure there’s a spray you can get. Probably at your local farm supply/feed store.

I’m having the same damn problem and it’s killing my grass. They are strictly outside cats for the neighbors, but they also have two kids I see playing with them most days.

Would’ve trapped them a long time ago if they didn’t have kids.

I agree with your trap theory.

Motion activated sprinklers. When I lived in the suburbs this was a life saver in keeping those feline fricks from shitting in my flowerbeds. Cats suck

My instinct is to trap the fricker and call animal control, but what's the best way to keep a-hole cats out of your yard?

I have VERY EXTENSIVE experience in this area. I currently live next to a women with atleast 10 cats outside and roughly 20 more inside. I have spend the last 2 years dealing with cats who, over years, have taken their liberties on my property due to the previous owner being old and not stopping it.

I have tried everything including the following:
- motion activated sprinkler
- moth balls
- red pepper flakes
- pepper
- $7000 fence (didn't have one when i bought the house)
- adopted a dog

One thing I can say without a doubt is that NONE of that works. Your only resolution is tuna and a trap. Cats are nocturnal and unless you leave a dog outside all night, you will not resolve the problem. To date, I have trapped 6 cats and are now the Jefferson Parish Animals controls problem which is also unbeknownst to my neighbor. My backyard fecal problem is almost resolved. However, they still are shitting in my front yard and since i'm attempting to be a cordial neighbor, I haven't put a trap out front yet, but it's coming.

Moral of the story, you're only resolution is a trap and relocation.
