Sounds like you need to more forcefully assert your dominance. Go back in and put some common sense into her.

Once you moved to the couch you proved to her you are a Beta. Real women don't do Betas. There is no back in. You are done.

It was probably the part in the story where Lennie accidentally kills his puppy while stroking it.

Either that or she really misses her other boyfriend and wishes she were with him instead.

Advice would mean that women could see logic and reason. They can’t so I can’t help you.

Damn sure wouldn’t be sleeping on the couch in my own house though. Not unless you are sick or something.

Tonight when you're ready to go to sleep, walk in your room and get in the bed.......if she doesnt like it then tell her the couch is available.

So, she got overly-emotional about a book and you got overly-emotional about a basketball game?

Seems to me like you two should work it out and save two other people from your overly-emotional nonsense.

Dump her ASAP. There is no telling what's going to happen during The Grapes of Wrath.

If my wife is so pissed at me that we can't share the same bed, she can go sleep on the fricking couch.

Jokes on her - getting "punished" to the couch is awesome. It's quite comfortable, it has the big TV and entertainment system, and I won't be bothered. Sometimes I wish I was punished more often.

Well, the other day, my gf was reading the end of Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and she started to get all emotional (you know how women are) and started crying. I was really not in the mood as LSU had just put up a vomitous performance against Utah in the NIT and I told her that she needed to get a grip.

So... you let your feelings for a stupid basketball game take precedence over your girlfriends feelings? You're an idiot.

Really.

Two days later she's still pissed at me and I'm not sure what I should say/do now.

Apologize. And then apologize again. Then buy her something.

Not woman advice, but I wouldn't consider her a long term prospect. If she cries about a book uncontrollably, and you tell her to get a grip and she had a three day long anger about it, she definitely wouldn't handle it well when it's something REAL that shedisagrees with you about, like a mortgage, taxes, new car, babies, job, money, etc...

Get out while the getting is good, unless you're the masochistic kind that craves being controlled and manipulated.

So you got emotional over a game and then you told your gf not to get emotional over a book?
