I spent two weekends back to back at my friend's house in Morgan City. Her step sister has three kids but was dating this new guy. And right off the bat, I didn't like the guy. He wasn't into sports or anything that normal guys like. But he just struck me as lazy and unmotivated. He was only a few years older than me, so roughly 25ish.

Well they broke up because he wouldn't get a job or go back to school. He was also messing around with drugs (taking them and selling them). He got popped a few times for possession. But when they broke up, he started texting her and calling her crying to get her back. Once she blocked him, he tried contacting her through all of her friends (including me). So I went back home after that weekend. During the week, he showed up at her house unannounced and claimed he was picking up some of his belongings. Which all he had there was a hoodie and a pair of pants. But a day or so later, she saw his car sitting out in front of her house again. So this is where the cops get involved. She called the cops, but he left before they got there. I don't exactly what happened after that. I know the police went to his house to talk to him.

Well now she starts staying with my friend and their parents because she didn't feel safe at home. They saw him pass by their house in his truck a couple of times before calling the cops. So a cop came and patrolled the neighborhood for a little while before saying it was all clear. And that's when I showed up again. We had a few people over and plyed beer pong until everyone left. So we moved inside to play Cards Against Humanity and continued drinking because frick mosquitos on a Louisiana summer night. Well it was probably 20-30 mins after we moved inside, I look up after playing a card to see a face in the window. When I saw it, he must've ducked because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I told everyone and they all kinda laughed it off until I saw the top of his head stick up again. I grabbed a bat and told him to leave the property while my friend and her step sister called the cops again. This time a unit patrolled while another unit stayed parked outside the house. It helped them feel a little better but they couldn't sleep. I nodded off on the sofa until I heard someone trying to come through the front door. Followed by someone banging on the front door. At this point's it's 4 am and the cops left again (the cops handled this situation very poorly. The police in Morgan City are awful and they're lucky this dude was too much of a pussy to hurt anyone).

The next morning, I left earlier than I wanted to do I could get away from that situation. But from what they told me, He started calling the house phone and if we answered, he'd just breathe into the phone. Everything beyond this point is a blur because as I said, I was separating myself from the situation. But she wound up getting a restraining order. He violated it and was thrown into jail because he also missed a court appearance.
He wound up getting bailed out. But a week later was thrown back in for another possession charge. And honestly, I have no clue what's up with the situation anymore because I cut off communication with them.

I wish I was a more talented writer. And I wish I could've exaggerated it to make it more exciting. But I was just going off what I remember. Everytime I think about that face in the window, I get chills.

Wasn't my fight or my property. Didn't want to become a target or get caught up in legal trouble.

I should've fabricated the story and said I grabbed one of the shot guns out of the hall closet. And blew the dudes head off and became a town hero because he was a serial killer.

If it was my property and my fight, I probably would've hit his knee cap like it was a fast ball right down the middle
But I'm definitely glad I stayed out of it for the most part.

So I work at a nursing home. When I started, I was kind of skeptical about it. I don't really believe in ghosts/spirits or anything like that. It's just depressing to see people living out the last little bit of their lives. I can tell you a million different stories, but I've only had a couple that I can't explain.
Someone that I'm very close to also works here. They're the one that got me on over here and they've been here for close to a decade now. I'll call them Bob. Before I even thought about working here, he told me all kinds of stories. Nothing really creepy. Just nasty/depressing.

But this one story he told me gave me the creeps. One resident had a bunch of cats before she was sent here and had to get rid of them. One day, Bob was in her room painting and the resident asked him if he could tell the cats in the bathroom to be quiet. A lot of people here are in their own little world. We have a whole wing strictly for Alzheimer's patients. So Bob just brushed it off and played along with it and continued painting the walls. About 5 minutes later the resident says "Now they're scratching at the door"
So Bob once again opened the door and told "them" to be quiet. And this time he asked if he could leave the door open. The resident said "No. because they'll get out"
At this point, Bob was tired of playing along because it was starting to freak him out. So he moved to a different room until she got up to go to lunch.

The second she stepped out, Bob ran in there to try and hurry up and finish painting. About 30-40 mins later, the resident rolls back in and starts yelling "WHYD YOU LET THEM OUT?!"
Bob closed the bathroom door and she mumbled something under her breath.

This happened almost everytime he went in there to paint, fix a tv, whatever. She'd always complain about the cats scratching at the bathroom door. She eventually passed away.

This might sound completely off the wall to y'all, but it's honestly "normal"
These people see and hear things that aren't there. Some people think it's the 50's again. Some people think I'm their son/nephew. And one later swears up and down I'm her husband.

So fast forward to a month or so later. A new resident moves into the room. Eventually Bob needs to go in there to look at something, and the resident was laying in bed. When he noticed she was awake, he asked her how she liked it here so far. She said she loves the place, but she has trouble sleeping at night because she hears cats scratching at the bathroom door.

Eta; this is actually a true story

Just 2 years ago, an entire family was executed in rural Ohio. I mean an entire family. Like 8 people at 4 different locations simultaneously. They were all sleeping in their beds. No sign of forced entry, struggle or anything. When police arrived at the locations, all of the doors were locked from the inside. To this day, there isn't so much as a lead or suspect. No evidence or witnesses. Its unreal. Was a national news story for weeks. The reason why it gives me chills is because its so close to Columbus and those who committed the crime are still on the lose and could be walking among us.
