Need suggestions for Orange Beach, Al.

We are currently here on spring break and need dining suggestions for me and my wife and entertainment suggestions for 5 and 6 year.

We ate at Bahama Bob's in Gulf Shores today and everything was good. We were staying in OB for a soccer tournament and drove over to GS for lunch, it was tasty.

Go camping at The Outpost campground at Gulf State Park. Its absolutely beautiful.
I stayed here for my birthdag literally just a few weeks after it opened and loved it. The second picture I think is actually the exact tent I stayed in.
There are however a couple of major downsides I will mention, but if you can plan around them then I highly recommend this.
1. The nearest parking to the campsite is over a mile away. So a bicycle and a wagon for your things will be a lifesaver. Either that or don't bring more than you can comfortably carry (cots are provided in the tents).
2. NEVER go in July or the really the summer in general. It can be miserably hot during the day, and so hot its hard to sleep at night. Plan for a time of year thats cool and comfortable. Thus brings me to my last downside:
3. Showering. Its possible this has changed since I went when it first opened, but there was no on-site showers. The campground is in a very remote part of the state park and the only way to get to the public State Park showers at tthe RV park was to drive all the way through Orange Beach and Gulf Shores to the complete other side of the State Park. It was actually infinitely quicker to stop and shower at a public outdoor beach shower.
My tip is to do what the much smarter family than my group did and bring one of those portable camping shower tent things.
Oh,,and not exactly a big deal but don't let the sand your tent is on fool you, you won't avtua9 be on the beach. You'll be in the forest. But once you hike to your car the beach is basically across the highway and behind the hotels so its not a problem.
