And if it doesn't fit in the mini-bed covered by a fake canopy I strap that shite on the roof rack...or pull my 8' (mini) trailer...or I just tell my son to frick bringing his bicycle.

Also, my mini van eats some tires up, which is a common problem. But you can't beat them with 3 kids. So functional.

Sienna here. We drove a few Odysseys and a couple of Siennas. The Toyota was much quieter on the road, and more comfortable. More space in the back too. We've had it about 3.5 years with no trouble at all, then again it is a newer Toyota. I'm sure it is standard on most of them now, but dual power sliding doors that you can open with the key fob is great when you have your hands full or with the kids.

Put new tires on it yesterday. $800 with a front alignment.

My wife told me before we had kids she never wanted a van. After we had 2nd kid she gave in and we purchased a grand caravan. After a few weeks she loved it. Being able to open and close doors with the key fob and the buttons in the console were great with young kids. Unfortunately we were hit by a drunk driver in February on our way back from a disney cruise and the van was totale. I can vouch for the safety of it. We flipped into the median and airbags filled that thing up.

Just got rid of one we had for 16 years. That thing was a beast. If I "had" to buy a minivan again, there would be no question.

It was. If you could imagine after rolling over then looking back not knowing if your kids were ok or even alive. My mom was also in the back too. Will never for get that moment. Florida highway patrol was awesome! One of them took my kids to their patrol car and let them watch SpongeBob. The ems folks had stuffed animals they gave them.

A friend of mine is an old hippy type guitar player. I've known him to have only trucks and suvs. He traded to a mini van a couple years ago. When I teased him about it he said, "I wish I would have done it sooner. All those years of loading and unloading sound equipment and cases would have spared me a lot of pain and trouble."

Check out a new base line Sienna. Might be closer to your budget.
