Apply ice to the anterior wrist, obtain “cock up” wrist splints or “carpal tunnel” wrist splints and wear them at night.
If no improvement in a week then talk to your Doctor about a round of steroids.
If no improvement then see your Orthopedist to discuss further options which could include steroid injections or possible surgery after verified by nerve conduction testing.
If you will be compliant with the splints for 1-2 months they will usual resolve your symptoms.
Thank you!! I really appreciate it. Would squeezing a stress ball do more harm than good? Also got some Absorbine Jr horse liniment to put on my hands. My L5-S1 is bulging and they’ve wanted me to have surgery on it for about a year now and treating it with that and Mobic with pain meds has staved it off pretty well so far.

Had a problem in both hands couple months back. Numbness when I woke up every day. Get the splints and wear them at night. Took several weeks but mine is 98 % better. Position at my computer was the culprit I think, changed that too.

I've had carpool tunnel for years now. Hopefully it goes away now that my commute is shorter

Just get a nerve conduction study (don’t even need the Emg part of the test), and it will tell you all the info you need, as well as the severity of the problem.

Update bump. Pain's gotten worse in the past two days, have an appointment with my orthopedic doc in the morning. Damn near impossible to get more than a few hours sleep, waking up with what feels like someone gouging my hand with a hot poker. Currently typing with my toes.

Man I got the gloves and they don’t see to make a damn bit of difference. Don’t know if it’s best for just arthritis or what but i can’t even tell I’m wearing them under my work gloves
