Missing Louisiana. Left when I was 12 due to Katrina. Bad PTSD/regret and wonder. I know some of y’all are out there to help me. No trolls.

So hop a plane or a bus or drive down and get you some Louisiana.

It's still here

Your name says it all. Been to Philly. I would be depressed too.

I live in Florida and love it here. Similar weather but not as humid where I live due to a constant ocean breeze. Do miss family, friends, and food in Louisiana. Try to visit home more often or make a move to get back or move closer.

if you can't make it back to Louisiana at least do yourself a favor and get out of the cesspool that is Philadelphia and move across the state to Pittsburgh, one of the best cities in the country

It’s only gotten worse since you left. Driving through BR looks like you’re driving through a Third World hell scape. The entire State has decayed. We have a largely uneducated, lazy, and trashy population. Be glad you escaped this shite hole.

My baw, he's in Philly.

That's like jumping out the septic tank straight into the sewer.

The King of Prussia area outside of Philly is nice. There are some decent parts of Philly downtown. Parts of southern New Jersey are also pretty beautiful, like Summit.

Love driving on interstate 10 through Baton Rouge nothing but old debris laying against the concrete barriers along the road and if you time it right and look off into the distance you can see the trash along some of the side streets. Somethings never change as I have been gone from Louisiana now almost thirty years.

I drove through that stretch last week and it looks even worse if that’s possible. There’s no hope for this State. It will only continue to get worse as though with any sense flee. I should join them but I actually like the Northshore.

I mean......it is right where you left it. It hasn't floated away or sank yet.

What do you want to do? I went though the 2016 flood. Yes I still have anxieties. Lost everything except my vehicle and iPhone. Forgot my meds and had to endure several days without. I know it doesn’t seem like something you want to talk about. I know so many people from Katrina and 2016. Some even both! It took me 6-7 years bf I felt like myself bf the flood.

It’s here but realize it’s not the same as it was. Moved back after 21 years. Love it, but things change and time marches on.

Roads still worst in the nation though.
