Child support is a set amount. Alimony is a different story. Only being married 8 years may save you on that. She's still gonna get half of the assets.

Outside of the lawyer advice, don't forget to hit the gym and delete Facebook.
People say it as a joke but the gym gives you something to put your energy into and you'll feel good about the changes your body makes. Assuming you don't work out now.
