Tugy’s
Grew up with the former owners family. Real good folk.
Ironically, years earlier my uncle used to get hammered there on a regular basis.
Tugy’s was the only bar in the country located inside a courthouse (or official government building).

Also check any local calendars, FB pages of places because there’s likely some events or live music things going on then.

Go to downtown Bay St Louis instead, it's only 45 minutes further and a lot more stuff to do.

La Lou is excellent food. Go for brunch and get the Crab cake Napoleon. Trust me.

A good bit of the lakefront towards the boat launch/splash park is closed to build a new bulkhead. Just be aware that once you get past like Aperitif, it's not as nice looking because of the construction.
If you're not usually around here it might be worth spending an afternoon at Abita brewery. Only about a 10 minute drive from Mandeville

Excellent suggestion. I’d suggest the brewery maybe do the tour, and then lunch at the brew pub restaurant at the trailhead. That crazy old museum place is cool also.

Try the Lit Rooster for bourbon and cigars.

for some local, French-flavored fare, i recommend everyone go check out a little place called La Madeleine. great south Louisiana vibes that really hones in on our French roots. cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
near Chili's and TJ Maxx.

This is just not true lol. BSL is nice if you’re a sunburned boomer with a jeep.

The easy ladies make a showing at the Tap Room.
Have noticed peak times during NCAA College Baseball World Series. I think Spring does something with their ovaries and inhibitions. Endoscopy!

The Hampshire or Feliciana in Covington, both fairly new.
Pardos in Mandeville if you don't go to Covington.

Aperitif. This place is hands down the best. The owner knows the business and is present. Gnarly Barley on the lakefront for apps and good beers selection. There’s a balcony to overlook the lake. Rusty Pelican for lunch maybe if the weather is nice.

Tap Room, older crowd, good bartenders and bar food. Live music on weekends. 32 beers on tap. Older crowd will go watch 4 Unplugged play 8 days a week and still get turned on.
Beer Garden, good outdoor sitting area. Much younger crowd brings lots of spawn. Poor choice for a name because only 16 beers on tap and not a great selection
