Need current LSU student to help me with housing

Hey,
I'm 21 yo from England coming to study at LSU in august because I live so far away I can't view housing options.
I'm either going to go for Nicholson gateway apartments or west campus I really want something social so I can mix with people, anyone know which of these is better?

You should definitely try plank road. There’s a special transit line from there straight to campus for you.

I have been away from campus too long to give you any real comparison info, but from what I have heard, Nicholson Gateway Apartments are awesome...I pass them every Saturday during football season and am just amazed at how far things have come since I attended. Nicholson Gateway are right across from the stadium and the whole area is just buzzing on gameday. Hope you enjoy your time in BR!

Nicholson gateway is newer and almost assuredly better in quality. It has close food options but wca is also close to chimes street, which is classic LSU. It is also a bit closer by about at least 5-10 minutes walking. WCA isn’t that bad. It’s just a regular arse apartment pretty close to classes.

Nicholson gateway apartments are brand new. Personally, I haven't been inside them. It even has a grocery store in the complex.
West Campus apartments are fine. They're around 5-10 yrs old.
Both apartments are well within walking distance to campus

I will say this, you might get a lot of bullshite answers here. That's just how it is on this board, but if you want to get familiar with Baton Rouge, South Louisiana... This board will get you there..

Definitely a huge difference to where I live in Manchester England, really looking forward to attending my first LSU football game
