great to hear that...tiger stadium is one of the memories that I really cherish from my time at LSU. I have attended most every home game since I graduated nearly 20 years ago. I paid for this coming year's tickets yesterday and am just as excited about the season as I was while I was in school.

There just is nothing like this in the UK, definitely no room for a stadium that seats 100k+. It's sad but UK universities hardly focus on sports, teams are very small. Everything about LSU just looks insane to me, having mike the tiger on campus especially

I feel you, not a fan of dorms either.

I was actually in a dorm my freshman year but was on an off campus apartment after. I actually use to live off ben hur for a bit (lots of housing in that area but you would either need to drive or take bus)

Your best bet is those apartments on Nicholson you mentioned, east or west campus apartments, the Venue is right there.

A lot of people I know enjoy park place on E Boyd but that is a little more pricy

Cheers bro

Are you a City or ManU fan?

Liverpool FC , Liverpool is my hometown but Manchester is my university city

I'm just playing

I am assuming thought you want on campus housing coming from another country.

Nicholson gateway apartments are very new and are really nice, you would be surrounded by other students. They do have social gathering actives that go on there sometimes.

West Campus apartments are nicer/newer than the east campus apartments.

Out of curiosity, what is your major? Some of the dorms/housing at LSU they have the same majors together so you live with people you go to class with.

I'm a business major, specifically marketing at LSU but I'm far from freshman I've attended British university for 3 years now so I don't really want dorms

Just FYI, it ain’t soccer.
 yeah think I figured that out..

So you woke up at 5 AM to do your paper and ended up surfing around this cesspool? I think you are going to fit in nicely at LSU!

tiger stadium and LSU football youtube vids somehow brought me here

If you have a budget of 600,000, I recommend this

frick me that looks sick, In UK university accommodation you're lucky to get a microwave included with your apartment for free

The apartments over here are nice and cheap

those portable toilets outside look more appealing

You shouldn’t llive in North BR or Tigerland. Oh, yeah, and don’t wear those tight, tight European pants over here.

Now, quid pro quo.... How is the poon scene in the UK?

University is pretty social in UK, everyone drinks at age 18 and goes nightclubs so getting girls is not that hard

I have a feeling this limey knows how to party....and catch diseases.

Probably from your girl, american chicks love british accents

So you're on here around 445am GB time on a Monday morning?

Well I'm a British university student with a paper due in 2 days so yeah

I will say this, you might get a lot of bull shite answers here. That's just how it is on this board, but if you want to get familiar with Baton Rouge, South Louisiana... This board will get you there..

Definitely a huge difference to where I live in Manchester England, really looking forward to attending my first LSU football game
I googled EL cid looks so friendly
Hey,

I'm 21 yo from England coming to study at LSU in august because I live so far away I can't view housing options.

I'm either going to go for Nicholson gateway apartments or west campus I really want something social so I can mix with people, anyone know which of these is better?

thanks!
