Not a fan TBH. That looks like some mix of a loafer and a driver. If you want a navy driver, just bite the bullet and buy a pair of Tod's.

How do the soles of the AE drivers last? I'm not a big guy, but I have a tendency to quickly wear down the back outside portions of shoes. Almost grabbed these last week but didn't.

I have that style in black. Own four pairs of AE loafers. have had three pairs for 2 years or so now and they've held up great.

Nothing wrong with a pair of suede drivers. The OT won't like them since they don't pair well with their North Face clothing, but we all know the OT collectively has zero sense of style.
