Looking at them, I kind of want them but am not confident they would either look good on me or that they are shoes to have.

They do look damn comfortable though...

With a suit, black shoes are still fine, I just prefer oxblood or tan to provide some sort of contrast.

That being said, black drivers with jeans just looks really really terrible, imo

Actually, I kind of agree (although it's obvious hyperbole). I just don't wear black shoes, even with suits.

Show me a situation in which a suit (other than black) would look better with black shoes than with some shade of brown.

I think brown shoes look sharper than black in most situations. Doesn't mean black shoes shouldn't be worn. I rock black dress shoes/loafers all the time.
