Im looking for something this isnt walmart. Something 5 or 4 stars on the dog food rating site. I would like it to have Fish in it. And i dont want to have to cut my finger off every time i have to pay for it.

I use Purina one true instinct. They have the tuna variety at Costco.

I use the 4 Health brand at tractor supply. They have different flavors and a couple have fish in them. My GSD seems to like it and they now have some similar to the blue buffalo brands which she seems to enjoy.

Second that, Costco brand is the way to go. It’s highly rated & inexpensive. We had Blue Buffalo but one of my dogs just didn’t like it, found out later they had a mold problem or something. She’d just smell it & look at me. This stuff she loves

Pro Plan has worked better for my dogs than any of the more expensive or gimmicky foods.

There are lots of great/reasonable options at the big box pet stores if you're trying to get away from Purina, etc... We have our dogs on Nutro (which Target actually just started carrying). There are TONS of varieties with fish.

We choose based on the ingredients, but only to certain point. I'm not going to buy it at the vet or at some little boutique pet store that has super limited hours/selection.

Kroger has a new high-protein brand called, Abound.

Our dogs really like it, but it gets shite on by the dog food adviser websites

then you leave it in the damn bowl and the next day they DO like it.

eta my vet told me years ago to stick with purina. he said at one time or other all the fancy 'boutique' dog food has been recalled or has been found to have bad shite in it...he said 'purina has been feeding livestock for 100 years and they have it down'

I was using Merrick, but I switched to Diamond Natural Grain Free. The whitefish and sweet potato mix.

not that easy.
if mine doesn't like a dog food, she might eat a couple bites if you force her like this. But she will eventually start losing weight and muscle mass.

SDF was just a mess of a place now with getting new suppliers so im going away from them. plus their last bag smelled bad. My dobe has some hair loss issues and i,m still trying to find something for him.

Will Cover...... What are you going to get me to try next?

I had my lab on Eukanuba but his nuclear gas made me change foods a couple of weeks ago. I went with Iams ProActive. It seems to be working well and is carried by a lot of stores.

i have also found if they dont like the food they will find other "things" to eat, during the day.
