Moron,

Of course it’s possible. It’s just garbage.

Do you really think it’s historically cheap this year even for a bottom of the barrel meal?

Well that's bullshite. I went to the grocery store for ingredients for two sides, a dessert, and a dip as appetizer and spent $80. If the family of 10 is dining on a can of pork and beans, potted meat, and a loaf of white bread they might be able to do it for $58.

Quick math says I’m at $19.44/person and that’s standard fare, nothing fancy.

it’s disingenuous cherry picking at best, an outright lie in reality. and it’s the exact type of “don’t believe your lying eyes” bullshite that caused the outcome of the 2024 election. but by all means, let them keep it up.

Dear Friends,

I’m having a good ol Southern Fish Fry at my house on Friday. Sure I’ll be frying frozen tilapia I acquired from a discount bin at Piggly Wiggly, i found some leftover oil next to a Cane’s dumpster, and the fry mix I acquired at Dollar General. And no, there won’t be any french fries and hush puppies you fat lazy stupid slobs.

Ohh, you also have to bring your own beverages and condiments. I said, “fish fry”, didn’t I?

Sincerely,

Tulane LSU

I stated in the other thread. If you were buying yesterday or today you got to get a fresh turkey and not frozen, those are double the price of the frozen ones.

So no one is getting a $58 thanksgiving meal if they were shopping today.

The turkey alone is going to be $30-$40.

I bought a 14 pound turkey for $7

If you’re spending more than $6 a person on Thanksgiving food then you’re either a terrible shopper or buying a lot of premade stuff.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, pies, etc. are not expensive foods to make

Fresh? Buy a frozen turkey last weekend like a normal person. 49 cents a pound

Turkeys are cheap

This was posted yesterday, not last week.

So anyone buying yesterday or today is going to spend more than $58.

That is all.

Or I’m not a hillbilly piece of shite that feeds my family low grade dog food. Good dressing alone costs like $25 to make. That’s just one dish.

The article is about your average family’s cost to make Thanksgiving dinner. You’re average family doesn’t wait till the day before Thanksgiving to buy turkeys at inflated prices

Seriously, who waits till Wednesday to buy a turkey

Who feeds their family frozen turkey with no seasoning, green beans and cranberry sauce straight out of a can, and just add water powdered mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving? Oh right, you Cleetus.

Nope, everything we are making is homemade lol. Except for the cranberry sauce because my father in law insists on canned cranberry sauce.

You realize that homemade is better and cheaper than canned right? And I guarantee that my smoked formerly frozen turkey is better than what you’re serving
