In America, we'd tear down that historical building and slap up ugly arse, trite fast food joint in its place.

Some of the Nazi buildings would be tough to tear down. They’re extremely fortified to withstand bombing. Not that it couldn’t be done but Id think it would be much easier just to convert it.

was able to go to Germany a few years ago which included Berlin and nuremberg. the germans do not run at all from their history. they have signs explaining what you are looking at and how it was used by the nazis. even buildings that are no longer there have a marker. there was an apartment complex in Berlin with a sign in front stating that this is where the underground bunker was and this was the street hitler would walk during the last days of the war.

they don't hide from their history. we, of course, seem the be the exact opposite.

Is also illegal to display Nazi paraphernalia in Germany and even the band Kiss has to change their logo when in Germany because it normally looks like it has the SS symbol on it.

I also believe Americans have been arrested in Germany for calling their police Nazis and/or giving the Nazi salute in the recent past.

I know the point you’re trying to make, but Germany is pretty strict when it comes to their Nazi legacy.

Whoever drew that swastika should absolutely be fired.

And I'm not usually one to call for firing people over silly stuff.

There's one small drop of ketchup on the cheese. Whoever bought the burger put the swastika on the bun.

We don’t hide from our history.

The south likes to hide from their history as traitors.

I went there to order a burger. Decided to skip the soda and have some juice instead.

The order taker looked at me and Said...

“Vee have no juice here. Vee have eliminated all zee juice.”
