I love hearing a funny story told by a talented storyteller.

Can y'all post some examples?
Jerry Clower

My dad can tell a story and have everybody's attention. I try to tell the same story and people's eyes glaze over.

Pretty sure Jerry Clower got some 10,000 hours of mic time in before being deemed “natural born”

He sold agricultural chemicals for years and it's where he honed his gift of gab.

That’s what I mean

Most of these great speakers, story tellers, comedians work their asses off to perfect the spoken word. It doesn’t just happen

Supposedly not remotely true...he was a outside salesman for a fertilizer company. The man made a living literally peddling bullshite through out the south...farmers being what they are being able to tell a story was a job requirement. Supposedly he was told so often he ought to record his BS he took it serious and the rest is history.

Clower was getting little attention to his pitches for fertilizer, until he started mixing in funny stories of growing up poor in Amite County MS. Sales skyrocketed! He always said storytelling was a gift. "I don't tell funny stories. I tell stories funny."

My brother when he was younger could tell girls all kinds of stories to get in their panties. He was a master at it.

Vincent Speranza - His Story

One of the best to ever tell a story. I could have listened to this guy talk about anything

Michael Franzese, former mobster who got out of the life and for some miraculous reason, is still walking the streets now a free man.

His first hand stories of his mob life and all the scams he pulled making millions for the crime bosses and the trials and tribulations of that life are interesting to listen to.
