I've been on FB Marketplace the past few months and they are coming down. Even saw a grand wagonner for sub-100k a day or 2 ago.

I am in the Biz. Have heard this somewhat regarding trucks, but not used cars in general. We simply are not getting enough inventory to supply the market with new cars to reduce used car pricing. We are effectively sold out of 2022 cars in various models, they are all pre-sold. We are now preselling 2023 models that no dealerships has even seen yet. Certified preowned are expensive as new, and those are all essentially gone now too.
I hope with everything that I have that I am incorrect and your article is correct.
Can you post said article? Seems like a good place to start.

What has happened in a person’s life to drive them to spend 6 figures on a fricking JEEP???

Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep has really done a good job with work on the interior but I think the major issues are electrical an fit/finish. Supposedly the GWs are super nice but I would fear the potential work and recalls over the next 5 years.
At least with Escalade, Navigator, Denali, etc. you have a history to look back on.

I counted 3 at the new car dealership here (5 brands) but they may have more inside.
They're pushing ATVs and dirt bikes, not enough cars on the lot.

Inheritance?
Lotto?
It’s a mystery to me. Full disclosure. I drive a ‘99 Cherokee Sport with @ 150,000 miles on it. So I’m cheap and poor.

But seriously if you could post the article that would be nice.

Are car lots ever going to be full again? Or this going to be the new business model?

Y'all welcome. After months of searching and finally holding out as long as I could, I bought a used vehicle.
Same shite as when I wash my truck, it's going to rain.

A large car hauler union is probably gonna strike in a few days, so it won't be soon.

Demand is slowing due to expensive fuel
