Nasty Fast-food restaurants...

Why is it that certain fast food restaurants are so much nastier than others? It doesn't matter the franchise, but we are at a Wendy's in GA, and there is not one clean table. I can go to a Wendy's in LA and it be 10x cleaner. Maybe if we paid them more money?
Edit: the paying more money is sarcasm.

You are probably in the hood. They tend to be nastier in bad areas because they hire the locals.

Churches Chicken on Highland past the gates.

Wendy's in Georgia is one of the better cleaner fast food places, the one you went to must be an exception to the rule, or just after a lunch rush before the employees could go through the room cleaning.
Or was it in Atlanta? Like, city limits Atlanta...

Money won't change that.
FWIW I have never seen a Wendy's that was like that. That is usually reserved for McDonald's & Burger King.
These places could learn from Chick Fil La

Weinerschnitzel
Wendys are generally better than other fast food options

When you leave la. Every fast food place heading east on 10 is slow and shitty. But I'm gonna go with McDonald's. I haven't had a warm burger from there in years.

I think money will change that. Good employees don't want to work for $7 an hour, so shite employees work there. If they paid more, the shite employees would get weeded out.

How do more expensive restaurants have better service if it's not due to better wages?
Pay minimum wage, get minimum effort.

Arby's on Seigen where the roast beef was green.

If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. I don't know, but would guess that Chik Fil A pays a dollar or two more, opening themselves up to hire better people.
With the amount of business they do their meals would probably need to be about $.60 more. I guess they found it to be worth it.

It's due to the kind of people who apply to those jobs. Low paying jobs have a limited work force to choose from. Giving more money to the people who are already there isn't going to change a thing.

Last year, I drove from Shreveport to McAlester, Oklahoma. I stopped in places like Gladewater, Texas and Paris, Texas. I ate a place called Braums. Braums is like a Dairy Queen restaurant with a small grocery attached. The service there was excellent and the bathrooms were very clean. Even in Oklahoma, the KFC was clean and they took pride in their store. For some reason, Louisiana trash is gonna trash at their burger joints.
