You have to understand how the world of USAG works. It is not some kind of committee or corporation. It has been, for many many years, a Dictatorship. The Karolyi's have been in charge for many many years. Marta has had complete and total control over who made every single team the US has sent to any competition outside the US. They had a committee, but that was all for looks. Gymnastics is also insanely expensive when you get to that level. These girls are not about to lose everything they worked for by telling on the perv doctor. Not that they are allowing the abuse by staying quiet but they are KIDS and they have a lot of pressure to make these teams and make their families sacrifices worth it. Not to mention, he was lying to these girls and saying it was some kind of new age treatment and he was a doctor so kids will trust them. The ones who spoke up were given hush money and quieted quickly. I am also not aware of him doing any of this in their houses. This was all, or mostly, done at The Ranch which is where the Karolyi's own a lot of land and have their gym. USAG leased it from them and they ran it, held "camps" every month to assess the girls and select them for competition. He had those girls there without their family and they often weren't even allowed phones while there.

I've read other versions of this account in similar descriptions. It is sickening to think this our national team wearing our flag, and its run like a cult.

When you begin to look into the sports, many are equally disturbing. Cycling is the obvious one, with regards to drugs and abusive behavior, but there are others. I'm blanking on it now, but seems like there was some scandal in an oddball sport, like curling, you don't hear much about.

Something weird arises in certain people developing athletes and adolescents. It's been this way back to ancient times. The USAG has no excuse, and all leadership should be purged.

Well, I always hated fricking women's gymnastics. It was just weird, like figure skating and Princess Diana's wedding. There was some kind of cultish strange shite going on that seemed odd to me.

Now I have moral grounds to hate it.

The parents have blame in this as well if for nothing else than being selfish.
