I’ve been reading and watching first hand accounts, and by every single account the police were absolute heroes here. Text book how to react to this situation. Got there in minutes, zero hesitation and ran inside right at the sound of gunfire. Dropped shooter immediately.
This could’ve been 30 dead kids. Heroes.

Couldn't agree more. The school and the police did everything right as far as I can tell. If that crazy bitch had been able to get to a classroom, it would have been so much worse.

I'm sure those cowards left a bad taste in a lot of Law enforcement depts eyes. This sounds like these guys were well trained and ready. Still too many lost but could have been a lot worse from the sounds of it. Rip to all except the shooter.

No judgment will be made or ill will held if they do all they are capable of doing. They seem to have done that here. They couldn't teleport to the scene. They did all they could do and didn't hesitate. They'll grieve the loss, I'm sure, but they should not blame themselves or doubt the job they did.

I’m losing it here… what point is any person to get two AR-15 style weapons and go to a school and shoot through a door and then shoot six people including 3 nine year old babies trying to make? Like nearly every other public school system, there’s bloat and wasteful spending everywhere. Adding police to every school might not be the answer, but the money is there.
