3 officers per school is almost 500 cops. 500 cops x $70k (the current salary for an officer in Nashville metro) = 35 million in annual salaries alone. Nashville metro has about 1450 total members right now, and that's everyone, not just patrol. 500 more cops is not a small number. And Nashville already has a shortage of almost 200 officers. Like I've said earlier, I have no problem giving LE more funding, but I'd rather that go to general policing than spending that kind of money for officers who will largely do nothing all day but twiddle their thumbs.

We need to take care of our own before we take care of others. That's not counting the cut for the 'big man' that makes bureaucrats and oligarchs wealthier as Ukrainian and Russian men and women are used as fodder by two governments who are both bad. I sympathize with those affected by the war in Ukraine and think we should do what we can to aid in ending the destruction, but not if it takes away from protecting Americans in need. A review of the mother’s social media doesn’t show anything “broken.”

Mother works at church.

Son went to Rhodes, played lacrosse, and is in law school.

Daughter was a freak, art school loser count with nothing going for her, and I presume had challenges with the religious upbringing.

Ban wiry, feminine-looking and bug-eyed loner types like this “person” from purchasing firearms (even if they don’t have a felony) and I would bet the frequency of mass shootings drops drastically.

Doesn't even really have to have been purchased that long ago. My buddies who purchased homes in good neighborhoods in Nashville shortly after college in the late 00s to early 10s were buying homes for $250k that are selling for more than double that now. Hell, I bought my home in Franklin in 2018 and it was appraised last year for nearly double what I paid for it. Real estate here is ridiculous

Maybe not. I can guarantee we could do more addressing those issues than we will fighting gun vs knife, more control vs less control, white vs black, etc that inundates the news cycle and social media every time something like this happens.
