Test firing starts at 2 hours 6 minutes and 55 seconds into video.Enjoy!

Not a good look for NASA. Another failure in what is already an over budget and time project. Still cool to see all that power though.

No problem! Hope everyone enjoys it. They have a guy on there talking about possible delays. He hasn't said there will be any yet, but just saying it's a possibility since it's a live fire test and they have to make sure everything is perfect.

Delayed it sounds like, at least for a bit.

They're topping off the tanks and looking for the keys.

Oops I bumped the old thread from the other day. My uncle works on the engines in a Mechanical capacity in Huntsville so he's part of the operations at Stennis today.

Will I be able to see anything from the north shore? How big is this rocket?

I hope so. I've heard them before on the MS coast, just not here... yet.

SpaceX is literally 50+ times faster and cheaper at building rockets than NASA or most defense contractors. While the SLS is a big rocket, it is not reusable at all which ramps the per launch cost up well into the billions of dollars. The tens of billions wasted on SLS could be spent much better elsewhere.
