A little late according to the documentary I watched in 1985, but I’ve been looking forward to this for so long I’ll let it slide.

How did he get the quantum data?

Why do I feel like this is going to be another instance where we read about some amazing breakthrough on here and then nothing ever comes of it?

Hello McFry…Back to the Future 2 came out in 1989, not 1985. 1985 was when the first movie came out and they went back to the year 1955. BTTF2 they went to 2015, where flying cars and hoverboards were the norm.
Hopefully that fixes your space time continuum.

Hot Damn! We are finally going to find out how the pyramids were built!
Uhhh we already know how they were built.
Aliens. They have better equipment that we have.

The important question:
When do we get truly flying cars out of this?

Demonstrating this force in a small vacuum environment does not mean we’re anywhere close to large scale propulsion, but it is pretty badass.
Maybe in the next 30-50 years we’ll have something useful built using this.

Everyone thinks you're crazy right up until you change the world. Many such examples in history.

GENEVA (AP) — Scientists in Geneva took some antiprotons out for a spin — a very delicate one — in a truck, in a never-tried-before test drive that has been deemed a success.
If this so-called antimatter had come into contact with actual matter, even for a fraction of an instant, it would have been annihilated in a quick flash of energy. So experts at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, had to be extra careful when they took 92 antiprotons on the road for a short ride on Tuesday.
Someone posted this to the OT last week, as well.
So, in one week we learn about anti-matter tech and the vacuum tubes stage of what might legit be an impulse engine....
If my math is right, we're about 4 years away from Zefram Cochrane being born, and 37 years away from mankinds first warp flight....Good to know we're on schedule, tech wise.

If this had legs, almost nothing would be bigger news right now.
The fact that he is citing Thomas Townsend Brown is all you need to know this is total kookery.

I guess they finally reversed engineered the craft Bob Lazare was working on.

Maybe, I have no idea. The poster said they couldn't even fathom a reason why a scientist would do it that way. I simply pointed out that they didn't need to hurt themselves fathoming when the reason was given.

He said well respected scientist. Important distinction.

Cool. I don't know the guy, but I'm clearly talking to people who do and already have an opinion. My bad for thinking his confusion wasn't just message board rhetoric.

Yes, but science is collaborative and requires review. To reject it is a serious red flag.

Did they call it Element 115 yet?
Posted on 3/31/26 at 12:42 pm to ATrillionaire
That's certainly the idea. Science should also be free of bias, agendas, and outside influence. We know that isn't happening.
Regardless of this guy's hackery, I don't blame anyone for doubting these institutions these days.
