Cool story - I hike on the weekends with the mission manager for New Horizons. He says that pretty much everyone thinks it's because Pluto's moon Charon has outsized gravitational influence - it's half the size of Pluto itself.
They have identified two Kuiper Belt objects already for the next flybys and have the first of two burns set up later this month.

Pluto is not a planet. If it is then Quaoar, Makemake, Haumea, Ixion, and Varuna are all also planets.
And Florbus, Gwanano, Mopla-2 and Balumdra as well.
See, I can make planets up too.

That's a legitimately cool story. Thanks for sharing.

You must be my down voter.

If you can figure out how to work Quaoar, Makemake, Haumea, Ixion, and Varuna into a clever little song, I'm ok with that.

Nope. But I'll give you an upvote now just because.
