Hmmm I had a direct tv guy tell me NASA was going to make an announcement today two weeks ago.

Yeah, welfare for not only increased knowledge, but an answer to the ultimate question: Are we alone in the universe? I didn't say that. I'm saying more his mentality is going the way of the dodo, and within say by the end of the century, their mindset will be mostly eradicated. Sure, it does involve him dying, but I don't want anything particularly atrocious to happen to him. Just old age like I'd wish most the rest of this board... except for Sentrius.

This is not one of them. Some of you don't understand how big of a deal it is that Mars has water. The closest planet to us has flowing water, relatively fair temperatures, and a manageable atmosphere. Life could have come from there easily, and life could still be there. Without proof of water, life there was just a theory. Now with proof of water there, we have everything we need to determine that life can exist there for sure, 100%. Does it exist there? Not necessarily. But it can or could have, and up until now we couldn't say that. Science is all about evidence, and this is hard evidence, not just theory
