They announced on Twitter just a few minutes ago that they will change the name of their HQ building in Washington from the James E. Web building (NASA's second administrator and one of the most important reasons we got to the moon before 1970) to the Mary W. Jackson building - one of the so-called "Hidden Figures" women.

And no one will ever know about the name change because NASA is irrelevant. Elon and SpaceX are the future. My kids will watch SpaceX rockets fly into the sky.

you know how a company is faux woke? they only do stuff like this when it is beneficial to them. This isnt being done with a genuine effort to recognize this woman...but merely a gesture to say look at us...We are not racist.

The HQ building wasn't previously named. The on-site auditorium was and is still called the James E. Webb Auditorium.

Didn't realize until now that last year they renamed a street in front of the building Hidden Figures Way.

Can’t wait for them to denounce Werner Von Braun who actually hung the 5 slowest Jews at his factory. Not to mention all the other Nazi scientists they swept up during Operation Paperclip. I love NASA, but of any organization that has some some apologies to do, it is them.
