well considering its up to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, you probably are correct.

You really have no clue how "reasonable doubt" is applied? So you must also think that the defense in the OJ trial had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he didn't murder Nicole, huh?

I also used to be good friends with one of the officer's wife. She is a great person and I feel bad that they are having to go through this

Media will portray this guy as a saint even though he has nice little rap sheet and he is felon in possession of firearm and he was on probation and he resisted arrest with a firearm. And he might have attempted to grab firearm while on ground.

Tell her that once they get off, MOVE to Utah or Montana ASAP. They'll keep his pension and salary and they can start a new life and do very well for themselves. Family and friends can visit them - sure beats looking over your shoulder every damn day.

its up to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, and the job of the defense to poke holes in it and create said doubt.
