Not true, you can go to a social function and have a dozen friends and relatives take pictures of you with their phone without your knowledge or permission, then post them on facebook prompting dozens of other friends and relatives to comment on seeing you on facebook every time they see you in person or call on the phone, it annoys the crap out of me.

Social media. I don't mind forums (obviously) and instant message, but the fake lives that people perpetuate online is ruining the fabric of society and human interaction.

Text messaging.
I hate it. I've always hated it. Yeah it has its advantages. But it's hard to tell tone in messages. And people now expect you to be instantly available. No one has the balls to call any one anymore. It's been the start of the downfall of society.

See I feel like this all stemmed from instant messaging. That's what text essentially are. Social media just was another way to get a message out instantly, and it's all evolved from there.

Leaf blowers. Used to be a yard service would have one guy doing the blowing. Now the bigger services have four going at once. Friday afternoons around here now sound like "The Flight of the Bumblebee". I used to enjoy a beer on the back porch on a Friday after work. Now I take shelter inside.
What's even worse is, they blow all their crap into the gutters and cause the drains to stop up the next time we get a good rain and flood the streets.

Expanded cable.
I truly wish that the main network tv stations, news stations, weather stations, history/car stations, music stations (truly showing predominantly music videos, concerts, & music news/stories) & sports stations were the only cable options.
Everything that is ruining the television experience would either never have been invented or would at least be many decades from now until their crap programming made its way on the screen.
I miss the quality/informative programming being the only programming.
As a world, we would be so much better off without reality tv. Just look at how far it has spread & negatively affected society.
