Charlotte is nice but it's a big spread out city with traffic being an issue, but they are steady adding more lanes to the Interstates, so that is geting better.

Raleigh is a great city, perfect size, easy to get around in and close proximity to RTP, but is gradually being taken over by yankees, with the outflux from cities with "protests" increasing the influx here.

Morrisville & Cary are both loaded with H1B Indians.

Our next door neighbors for nine years were an Indian family. The husband was always scheming about some new addition to the house. Nice folks though but often you'd smell some strong curry when walking outside.

I had a job offer in Raleigh in about 2008 and wanted to take it but the wife vetoed it. I wish she wouldn't have now.

It was a joke, since what people in the Triangle and NC call Cary

Central Area for Relocated Yankees.

Can confirm, as I grew up there before we moved to the Memphis area. Cary/Apex are ridiculously nice and desirable, but I definitely agree with the assessment that they lack character and are getting taken over by Yankees and H1B's. I would much rather that than culcha though.

Chapel Hill is almost as nice but with much more charm.

what stands out to me is that South End area of Charlotte has a lot of hot women. I mean like head on a swivel driving through the area in the middle of the day.

This... SouthEnd is like an eye candy store. Doesn't matter the time of year.

Best beaches? FL panhandle. Best mountains? Colorado or Montana. Best saltwater fishing? LA. Best fly fishing? Montana/Idaho. BUT, NC has access to all of those thing so it averages out to be pretty great.

I live near the Triangle and agree with this 100%.

Also have to add to this the colleges and business environment (for the time being) are solidly top quarter of the country.

Not even a question really
Gimme Cary anytime over culcha

Don’t really need character if you’re raising a family.
Great school systems and you’re in State. With NCs state rules you have a much easier chance at getting into UNC.

Lived in Cary in the early 00's. It was pretty great at the time. Highly educated locals, great climate

The only thing similar is how bad the drivers are.
