Don't be so short sighted. If the allegations are true, I hope they go to jail and lose their home. I am sick and tired of politicians stealing from taxpayers and then getting away with it.

Not being short sighted at all, but 95% of my memes/stories deal with current news items that are well known. From what I've seen this one isn't really getting the coverage. I'm sure I'll think of something though

This program with LORA has saved the DNR from having several thousand wells abandoned and becoming multi million dollar liability of taxpayers to clean up orphan wells.
According to the reports LORA doesn't have the money to match their hundreds of millions in liabilities so that means the taxpayers are still on the hook. The only difference is that some connected pols got big houses and cush jobs for their kids out of the deal.

Another day that ends in "Y" in Louisiana.

Time for Texas to declare independence and annex Louisiana, there's no other way to clean things up.

NOLA.com - Corruption Investigation Raises Questions About Louisiana Orphan Well Program

But LORA was neither a bank nor a financial institution. Instead, under an agreement with the state, it collected fees from drillers in exchange for promising to pay for cleaning up and securing orphan wells.

Bret Allain, a former state senator who passed a law requiring financial security for drillers, said those fees were never going to be enough to adequately support well cleanup.

“It was taking on way too much liability for the little bit of money that they were putting in. It was never going to work,” Allain said

Johnny looks to have just a hint of Down’s syndrome. Maybe not full on, but he’s got something happening there. On the downs spectrum you might say.

He isn't wrong, though. There are certainly some good Mom & Pops, but there are also hundreds of shitty, leaking, orphan wells all over the state that were put there by mom and pops.

What an idiot. He didn't do anything that doesn't go on on a regular basis, he was just too stupid to do it the "right" way.

SO basically he's the governments version of Will Wade. Pretty sad that this happens to be a true statement bc our government is beyond corrupt on every level.

If someone had told me he was a burn victim I would've believed.

And for the downvotes on me posting that pic it's the banner image on her campaign website. They chose to involve their children in the grift and corruption, not me. They didn't have to accept those jobs.

Larry was a state senator who was taking kick backs from a video poker operator back in the 90’s. Ended up spending a few years in prison.

You're a retard. These are stories I've heard firsthand. You weren't involved in any of these stories or know who I am talking about, so your commenting with zero clue.

This one is some shoddy arse reporting. They aren't posting half the details, just what sounds the worst. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Laurie ran against Dixon Mcmakin last election whose wife is COINCIDENTALLY an investigative reporter at WBRZ.
