Right, that's definitely it. How could I be so blind. Nobody with "God in their heart" has ever committed any violent atrocities.
Now excuse me for a moment while I crack open this history book to any random old page and.... Oh... Oh no, what is this? ....

Yeah, like don't murder people. We've all got that one locked down, champ. Now you're telling me I shouldn't have rights because some a-hole does something bad with said rights? frick you, pussy.

This is probably the dumbest thing I've read in this thread. Gun technology hasn't been at a level for centuries that would allow a single individual to commit any real mass shootings. Unless you really want to argue that the lack of lone gunman musket mass shootings in colonial America, or the lack of nobody hauling in a 250 pound mounted gatlin gun and setting it up in a crowded area before anyone could stop him is proof that the proliferation of modern guns isn't a problem, then you just have your head too far in the sand for anyone to help you.
Google the Bath School Massacre and Boston Marathon Bombings and let me know the tools utilized in both. Blaming an inanimate object/tool for the actions of the humans using them is disingenuous and dumb.
quote:
Yeah, no fricking shite bc that's around the time that the general public began to stockpile the types of guns being used in these shootings. Go back more than a few decades ago and your average civilian gun owner had nothing more than rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Nowadays a gun collector shows off his collection and 90% of what they own has no real purpose other than killing multiple people as quickly as possible.
Emotional drivel
quote:Please, enlighten us on your obvious knowledge of all things firearms and their use cases in different environments/situations.
For the most part, the guns being used in these mass shootings, particularly the premeditated school and workplace shootings are not guns that you would take out in the woods hunting, they are not guns that are useful in a home defense situation, they are not guns you carry on your person for self protection to stop muggings.
quote:No one needs to justify their personal decisions on how best to defend themselves to you, especially when your apparent knowledge on the subject is tenuous, at best.
Why do you feel the need to own any guns beyond those capabilities?

Ban gun ownership for black youths/young men between the ages of 15-30 and gun violence falls by 30%
Lol. Like they own them legally to begin with. We have enough laws on the books what we don't have is serious application. For example, we basically say anything less than $950 value isn't really shoplifting, guess what you get more of? It's past time to start an Escape from NY type island where drop everyone with more than one violent felony off via helicopter. If they die, oh well.

Idiots continue to scream about guns being the problem but fail to acknowledge the real people, the decline in morality in America.
-singe mom's and baby daddy life
-willful killing of babies in wombs
-lack of accountability in homes
-lack of discipline in school
-desensitizing of murder via 1st person shooter games
-glorification of criminal life though music culture, videos games, movies, etc.
-bullying of weaker people which pushes them to get "REVENGE"
-Poor mental health care
-Education is no longer valued, it's required to keep benefit checks incoming
-Media spreading hate by pushing racial agendas.
I could probably point out more, but my coffee is getting cold.
STOP BLAMING GUNS, BLAME THE PEOPLE & SOCIETY THAT ALLOWED THIS BEHAVIOR TO DEVELOP.

Ah, so everyone should suffer because of a few idiots. Is that what you’re saying?
If it was only a few idiots, you might have a better point. The fact that this is happening on a daily basis across the country now says it's more than a few at this point.
But you're actually right, you just didn't make the point you thought you did.
You are 100% correct that everyone shouldn't have to suffer bc of a few idiots. The hundreds of Americans getting killed in incidents like this every year and there families probably overwhelming agree!
And btw, if your idea of "suffering" is not being able to own an AR15, then cry me a fricking river you little bitch

Bill Clinton banned ARs for a decade and it made no statistical difference in crime. You aren't focusing on the real issue.
