She's going to get 40, 50 years of Mother's Day largesse now. That's her "push" gift.

Good grief. Men have been giving their wives gifts after giving birth for ages.

You might as well start saving up for child support, ya stingy ole grouch.

They probably have in a sense, but you don't fricking ask for or expect it. It's not a thing for everyone in every situation. I'm sure in the following weeks he will be there by your side doing everything to help. You'd likely get special treatment which is gift enough.
To make it an actual concept is ridiculous. Let the man go the extra mile on his own.

Having a baby is supposed to be the most wonderful and rewarding thing a person can do The idea of thinking it should mean you get jewelry or something else shiny makes me think that woman is too self absorbed to be a good parent.

she probably isnt ready for a baby and now I'm in trouble.

You probably aren't ready to be married if this is the hill you choose to die on. Buy a fricking necklace with the baby's initials/birthstone, and move the frick on.

Come on man, just buy her some gifts. Nothing shows your appreciation for birthing your child than a Peloton and a sandwich maker.

I think alot of men gave their women presents/gifts/something to show affection for going through childbirth. I dont think that this is really all that "new", i just think a coined term of "push present" is new, and people post it on social media to get attention, and this board complains about it because they are miserable fat people

That's a negative. Tell her when you get your "engagement Rolex", you can talk. I'm still waiting!
