My wife had to stop herself from going off on Walmart cashier

It was a 20+ y.o. girl who kept talking about "her wife". Saying my wife this, my wife that to every customer. When it was our turn (my 6 y.o. daughter with us), she kept rambling on about her wife.
I don't want to hear about your confused life. We don't support that lifestyle so don't act like everyone wants to hear it.
What would your thoughts be or what would you do?
For the people who can't read or comprehend..
My wife didn't say a word to her,was polite, and talked back when she was asked questions.... She just listened, but was very irritated. Was biting her tongue. She complained to me when we were leaving***
