My Trashy Family Christmas Story (2nd UPDATE 12:30)

My parents are conservative, especially my dad. He never forced it on us, but my brother and I always agreed with conservative views for the most part.
My brother is a freshman in college this year. He flew in last night.
That’s when he decided to tell us he is now a vegetarian in an attempt to combat climate change.
My dad is angry because he is liberal.
My mom is angry because she planned out a week of meals.
I’m just trying to enjoy Home Alone over all the yelling
ETA: We ordered pizza tonight, since my brother can eat it.
My dad got one pepperoni and one sausage pizza.
He claims he forgot. The yelling has resumed.
ETA2: We are skiing today. When it was time for lunch, my dad told us to get him a burger. My brother got him an “impossible burger” without telling him. My dad ate the whole thing.
My brother told him he just ate a meatless burger, and my dad lost it.
I’m kinda miserable at this point.

I always wonder why people bring politics up at Thanksgiving/Christmas. Most of my family is conservative with some liberal. We never bring this stuff up

He didn’t really announce it.
My mom made meatloaf and he only got veggies on his plate. My mom asked why he wasn’t eating the meatloaf, and you know the rest.
