What are the odds of this happening?

Triplets are far less common than twins, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accounting for only about 4300 sets in 3.9 million births, just a little more than 0.1%, or 1 in 1000
LINK
1 in 1000 actually sounds like decent odds considering how many births there are each year.

Yeah, none of this happened

Is 27 early to start having kids now?

Keep on telling yourself that, especially after the birth, when you are expected to take care of them.

Y'all are incredibly excited that your 27 year old son who owns his own business (lawn cutting I'll guess) is having triplets with a girlfriend of 4 months?
Man, guess expectations for him were low.

I think it's the "three at once" with a girl he barely knows that's the issue here...

Any age is too early to have unplanned triplets

Yeah there is a ton of doom and gloom in this thread.

After he gets to know the girl, he may find that he likes her.
He better get to know her quick because after those kids are born he definitely won't like her for a while.

He better hope that relationship works. That would be a hell of a child support bill

Not being a dick, but did they consider adoption?

Fertility drugs greatly increase the chance for multiples. Maybe she was trying to get pregnant . . .

Grandkids are fun, for a visit. Having to take care of them on a regular basis is a whole different story. Just assuming the OP was 20 (still young) when he had his son who is now 27, that means the OP is now 47 and will need to do a rewind to go back to taking care of babies. Trust me, it ain't fun after a few days.

Sounds to me like it's time for him to grow up and be a man. Playtime is over.
