My roommate's car was stolen last night

In Sandy Springs. Obviously PD are no help. He had OnStar but they said since his subscription expired they can't track it. He's devastated, what options does he have?

OnStar definitely can track it, they choose not to as a FU to a non-paying customer.

Craigslist - search for a new car that matches his old one. Chances are he'll just be buying his car back. Problem solved.

He has Allstate. He's just wondering if he can use Onstar to track his vehicle even if he doesn't have an active subscription. I think they can track it, but will they???

Bc he's a friend, a good guy, and he doesn't know about this msg board. I've seen the threads where things get posted or solved that don't pop up on google. Figured Id give it a try
