Years back I was trying to find a vet on Google. One near me had a single one star review on yelp. It was from a woman who was upset that the clinic smelled like dogs.

I read a lot of reviews that have 1 star because a box was damaged on arrival, but didn't affect the object, or was dirty. People are too stupid.

Was going to stay at a bed & breakfast one time, went to Google and read a bunch of the reviews. Mostly 5 stars out of about 700. Then there was the one star review from a lady that claimed you had to turn the door knob down to open it versus up (lever style apparently). First world problems I suppose......

Yup, I see those all the time as well. I was looking at a tent on Amazon and there were quite a few reviews saying it was the dimensions advertised but still a lot smaller than they expected. 1 star.

I am writing you today to complain about an unpleasant experience I had while perusing your Tigerdroppings.com website.
As I often to in the mornings, I had clicked on the OT lounge after seeing the game score, and saw a thread that said "my new form of entertainment."
Now, the thread was by a purported "Geekboy", so I assumed it would be something sufficiently geeky, or at least boyish.
Model rocketry, perhaps. Building large dioramas from Lego. Unsticking the pages of antique Playboys.
Or perhaps, at least, some gifs of women jogging.
This was not the case. Not only did the poster "Geekboy" not provide any examples of this "entertainment", but also he called dhillip a "light in the loafers, twitterpated crumbum." I am requesting a refund of my time wasted on this thread. Thank you sir.

The whole Yelp review system seemed to be a way for some people to grift.

As a business owner it's crazy to have to see this stuff. I've dealt with a customer and 10 mins later they get online and flat out lie about what happened. Just because they couldn't get their way to get something for free or whatever. A business owner knows when they mess up and try to solve the problem right there bc the negative reviews hurt a business. Some people believe those lies. It's gotten worse in the last 5 years since every company allows you to just go online and bash away. I've even spoke to customers and told them I have them on camera doing the opposite of what they said and they seldom admit it. I have a couple cameras with audio and surprisingly hear them say stuff and say employee said it.
