Has your daughter been denied an abortion in Georgia yet, after being creampied?

I’m so sorry. We’re going through the same thing with my mom.
She’s seeing Dr. Chachere in Houston. He saw her, ordered lab work, an MRI, and she did an at home test that was emailed to her. During her follow up visit, he thoroughly discussed her results and gave us options. She has a virtual visit with him on Monday because he likes to follow up after the patient and family have had time to process the information and think about the next steps.

Get her a doctor who specializes in gerontology/senior care for primary care. My mother's internal medicine specialist was not adequate for her needs. Her gerontologist had special tables and scales for patients who couldn't climb or stand easily. She let us know that my mother (who was in her 80's) no longer needed tests like colonoscopies or mammograms and stopped several of my mother's medications.
I also completely agree with getting POA and medical POA asap. The bank will probably insist on their own POA.

Do your parents know they raised a piece of shite?

Middle-age for me means parents getting old and dying, and it sucks. I saw a neurologist with my dad, and it doesn’t seem like there’s much you can do except to manage risk factors. She didn’t even seem concerned, unless they’re unable to do typical daily activities, said if they can balance a checkbook then that’s good. I did see that new drug, But not sure how great it is. One stat is that 69% of participants had amyloid plaque clearance (diagnosed by pet scan) so much so that they considered getting off the treatment.

I know Fidelity does. As I said in my earlier post, having the piece of paper in your hand isn't enough. It's got to be on file with every single financial institution they have accounts with. Reiterate- elder law firms are worth their weight in gold.

Due to the timing of my stroke I wasn;t really unable to take advantage of therapy and they even shut down the gym in my shithole apartments
So I wasn't even able to access therapy till about two years the in and yes even then starting that therapy two years late riding the bike was so good for me

I wish you the best as this definitely is everyones fear each year we get older. Prayers.
Have you looked into or asked about supplements/vitamins that could help?

If anyone watched the RNC Thursday night, Alzheimers will be cured before 2029. Vote, people.

If it is what it sounds like, prayers for both you & your mom. Went thru this with a family member & one thing I was told, over & over again by various medical professionals, was to not confront or argue. Just continue the conversation in a "normal" manner.

My mom is 78 and admits her brain doesn’t work the way it used to and she needs to write things down. I’m not overly concerned, yet.

Hate to break the news to you buddy, but the only way you can stay sane when someone you love starts to go is through humor.
Make whatever assumptions about my upbringing, I'll make whatever assumptions I want about you sucking off truckers at the nearest truck stop.

Nixon promised a war on cancer in 1968 but here we are. One day we will cure Alzheimer's and a lot of other dread diseases. But I'm not holding my breath that it'll be in the next 5 years, some politician's campaign promise notwithstanding.

Hey, just saying. Biden promised cancer would be gone by now. Trump said he can cure both cancer and alzheimers during his second term. Warp Speed II...

Sorry for what you will be going through. I have a grandmother who’s pretty much just on this earth. It sucks. I don’t go see her nor take my 5 year old since she has no idea who we are and says crazy stuff. Hang in there:
