Singers in restaurants. I don't mean bars, I mean nicer dining establishments. Someone gets the idea to bring in someone, usually don't with a guitar, who has a half baked voice to provide "entertainment" because that's what they are supposed to do.

So you sit there while spending $40-50 on a steak but can't enjoy because the so called singer has to use a speaker and at times an amp just to make sure your ears vibrate. Usually playing folksy type music or covers. I love music but damn, do they have to blow out our eardrums?

My newest pet peeve happened over the last year or so...

People are misusing the word curated. They are using it for menial things.

Curation is much more involved and a different animal.

No you did not "curate" a menu.

Now that's hilarious considering the source. When you have someone as broke and fat as Mingo calling you out then that's a first world problem in and of itself.

Every ate at the Grapevine in Donaldsonville? I have been there a few times and they had the same guy there playing music. It's not too loud.. And I actually don't mind it at all...

I don't mind a little background music as long as it isn't shite.

Totally agree with you. That's why I wrote speakers cranked up that overpower all convos

Can honestly say every steakhouse I’ve been to where steaks cost 40-50, I have never seen musical entertainment

Sounds like Miriam-Webster and you need to have a chat, then.

Come to think of it. I think st Elmo’s in Indy might have a piano but no one has played when I’ve been there

ETA I see you are still triggered.

I actually agree. I don’t mind music, but they always play far too loud in restaurants. I’m trying to have conversation with friends, but I can barely hear over the latest rendition of Party in the USA.
