Over two weeks. There was some engineering involved. For example, the arms had to be more than just styrofoam and papier mache in order not to break... so I had to cut, bend, and weld some abs plastic sheeting into an underlying skeleton that hooks with joints onto the center pole structure, then the head locks them down into place so they can't fall downward and inward.
The designing and building is the fun part. The absolute worst is applying papier mache and then trying to get it reasonably smooth. Messy.
