That printer and toner carts were a deal.

If the printer sells. I’m sure it will, but will I get the $500-$600, or just let it go for $300?
I hate sitting on shite. I have a constant fire sale.

It’s brand new, isn’t it? Honestly the toner is a higher value. You could probably get $350-375 for the printer.

Do you ever keep some of the bounty?

Every once in a while, but it’s always overpriced or junk.

I did come across a garage sale a few years ago that I did film where the lady was asking 25¢ a card and she had eight graded cards all PSA 10. I asked her how much are these and she said read the sign, cards are 25¢ each (she said it rudely, like hey stupid, read the sign!!!). So I grabbed them. One of the cards was a 82 Nolan Ryan PSA 10 fleer. I sold it for $200 and it still is my greatest garage sale find ever, ratio wise, at 800:1.

I just hope her husband came home and said you sold my cards for what?!!!!!

I rarely keep stuff unless it’s a tool or some kind of cool toy or kitchen item, but I always end up selling it eventually.

Funny thing is, as much as my wife hates garage sales and all “the junk”, she has kept many items I’ve brought home. Mostly Christmas decorations and a few home decorative items.

My daughters have kept quite a few clothing items I’ve brought home, the vintage t-shirts or a high end item like LuLuLemon. I’ve never sold a LuLuLemon item because my daughters always keep them.

Any bourbon/whiskey brands you care to list? Other wineries?

I may be interested

I made $275 this weekend at our street wide yard sale. It was actually quite fun and was cool to see all the neighborhood kids playing and having lemonade stands.

I found the haggling part extremely entertaining too. Hahah

There’s Jagermeister, UV Vodka, and Revel Stoke Whiskey (a peanut butter whiskey I think)

Other wines is a Hubert’s the Stag winery

I can’t stand watching people haggling. They find an item they know is worth $50+, the person is ask $10 or so, and they will offer $5.

I won’t haggle, but I’ll make a pile, adding up to (let’s say) $75.
After I make the pile, I’ll ask them what they can do for all this. Most will come down $10-$15. I won’t make an offer. If they don’t come down, I still take it.

A lot of people will say, “The bigger the pile, the bigger the discount!”, because they are trying to get rid of the stuff.

The deck is a Jart, which is ok, but not super high valuable (at least it’s not made in China crap), but the trucks and wheels are Independent and Spitfire, which are great pieces.
I’ve done well with Independent many of times.

I had a few use that tactic when I did one a few weeks ago. We had one woman trying to make piles and want to only pay $2 per pile. Had to tell her to leave as she knew exactly what she was doing and getting closer to thr table where I had vintage he man and transformer stuff

That's awesome. You should have sent her a letter or email or something including the receipt from your sale and said "Read this sign. You sold me a card for $0.25 that I sold for $200.00".

But I am looking for cards that hold value. I have several cards I am going to get graded, but I am going to go try to use the rest of my collection to acquire a card or two as more of an investment. What is your account on ebay?

You will not find “investment” cards at a garage sale (maybe 1 in 1000), but like I said, they gonna know the value.

Go to a card shop (or eBay) find the cards you want and make an offer. Card shops’ prices are usually not set in stone.
Or even better, go to card conventions. Don’t you live in Houston? Isn’t national convention in Dallas?
