An art major that wants to now be a physician assistant...hmmmm

Do you want someone who talks about “mansplaining” to raise your children? Seriously

Has she ever expressed to you that someone in her art profession has talked down to her before? Also, what were the previous things you said to her?
I don't really see the point in her snapping at you. I don't necessarily think you were mansplaining. But who knows how things came across in that context.

I'm female and while admittedly I cry my fair share (I'm the emotional type) I don't feel as a woman in general that "everyone" talks down to me. Did she give/does she have other examples?? IT just sounds odd. If she's only been acting this way, fiancé beware.
Does she have self esteem issues??

and I forget that she was an art major
That’s pretty shitty man. I’d be annoyed if my wife tried to explain an engineering topic to me because she kept forgetting my undergrad major.

This right here. All kidding aside, let’s look at what you’ve told us. You and her were simply looking at some art work and carrying on a normal conversation. This resulted in her getting insulted and going off on some bizarre feminist rant.
I see what you're saying, but she's never been this way before and we agree on the majority of policy, what gives?

Oh, I was 100% serious. Third wave feminism buzzwords + self-proclaimed victimhood + emotional manipulation = run fast, run far, go now.

She sounds like trouble. Get the ring back if you can. One thing I love about my wife (who is vastly intelligent in her field and makes great money) is that she doesn't have a clue about stuff like socialist realism in some painting. She also doesn't cry about being a woman. I could not be happier about that.

She's going to have a bad time dealing with doctors and male patients. You better get out now before you wake up with your penis cut off.
How does one go from art major to PA anyway?

Pawn the ring and eat the loss.

Mansplain that you are breaking up with her.
It will only get worse

You sure about that?
In any case, this dude should GTFO if this isn’t a troll. (Which I feel like it is due to the ridiculous nature of the post)

Snapping at the OP isn't the best way to handle it at all. But I think he did the right thing by explaining that he didn't mean any ill will in his comments.

Then it sounds like you should get off of www.tigerdroppings.com and talk to the person you're engaged to, since something else is clearly going on.

The majority of art majors I've come across have gone on to get their MFA. It's certainly not for everyone that's for sure.
