Before you leave her, you should push the limits to see if she will break and submit to your tendencies. I imagine you haven't changed suddenly, so she's already somewhat used to it.

In other words, mainsplain the shite out of everything for a month or two and reassess her commitment to being a raging fem. If she relents, you're in the driver's seat as long as you stay the course. If she doesn't, those last few months will have you both wanting to run and it will work out.

She has nothing a little more time in the kitchen won't cure.

Look, she used the term mansplain, realized the knowledge and practice she paid for in college is the equivalent a Wikipedia entry, and is now getting herself to a job to be a sidepiece with aspirations.

I've gotten through 5 pages of this thread and no one has asked for pics of your fiancée yet. The OT is just not the same anymore.

Emotional train wreck. This is why we should never elect a female President.

Not meant to be an insult- just stating a fact. Honest women will say the same thing. I've heard several say those exact words.

Woof. This is timely for me. I'm 1.5 years in. GF is in the art world. Similarly I'm an "explainer" that reasons with facts. Increasinglyy feel like I have to walk on egg shells with what I say. She's VERY sensitive to anything around gender, quick to turn a mundane subject into a feminist defense platform.

If she's dating a guy that is going through museums explaining soviet realism then she's probably a weak woman and is just parroting off some bs she heard on Pod Save America. Show some hand and put her back in line. She won't bring it up anymore.

If it bothered you enough to make a thread about then you need to talk to her about wtf happened. Maybe you opened some wound (you mentioned her art gallery not going so well). Or maybe you are really getting to know her. 2 years seems like a long time but there is still plenty to learn about a person, especially if y’all are young.

If she stands by her comments and can’t understand where you were coming from, I’d start thinking about your future and if she really is the person you want to be with.
