This happend to me recently. I tried everything I could think of. I spent months trying to figure it out. Finally decided to pay someone to look at our vents. Well my dryer vents out on the roof and it turns out there was a bird nest on top of it. We cleared the nest and the dryer works perfectly again.

You ran out of dryer fluid.

If you have a multimeter, you can do a continuity check on your element, but I'd guess it's probably a fuse. The fuses typically fail before the element. They will fail if the dryer overheats (so you don't burn your house down). When your dryer and/or exhaust vent get lined with lint and animal hair, the dryer overheats.
Vacuum lint. Replace fuse. Dry clothes.

Check your vent tube all the way to outside wall. May be jammed with lint and moisture just return to drying bowl.
My money is on this possibility

My heating element was like $75 & easy to change.

Is the check engine light on?

Every time that has happened to me it is because the vent tube was clogged with lent.
It is that time of year.

Your Exhaust hose is probably clogged. Pull dryer and check the exhaust hose.

Thermal overload fuse blown?
On newer units there is a fuse that senses when the dryer gets to hot and trips.
If you have a long run for the exhaust or lint built up it can trigger it.
Just replaced mine not that long ago...

Same situation with our dryer a few months ago. My hubby went on youtube. Repaired it himself! Works perfectly.
