Nice, I didn't know they had one in the Riverwalk as well. Love that area, and the Hilton.

yes, it's on the lower level, closer to the Hilton actually.

There's just something very nice about being out overlooking the river on a day like today. Where it's not 1,000 degrees outside... just very serene.

Took my 7 year old daughter and her two friends to the city today. Parked on the street on S. Peters. Walked to the children's museum. Had a wonderful time there with people of all walks of life. Then, walked to the Riverwalk. Bought beignets and sat out on the balcony looking out over the river. We ate beignets and watched the cruise ship depart. Then, walked back to my car, which was still where I left it, and drove home.

Never once did I feel unsafe, threatened, followed, etc. According to the O-T, even though it was a Sunday afternoon, I'm lucky I didn't die. In fact... it was a very nice day in a wonderful city.

Pretty convenient you left out you drove on shitty roads to get there and you pay 10k or more a year to educate your kid because the schools are so bad, but Hey, let's just keep our heads up our asses.

Great place to visit.

But I wouldn't want to live there.

I'll have to remember that. Definitely one of the best spots on a day like this.

Is "I didn't die today" really something to hang your hat on?

I haven't found anything wrong with it yet.

Btw, I thought for sure the OP's story about his fantastic day in the city was going to end with him arriving to his car and realizing two of his wheels were missing.

It's a fine personal philosophy but not the most effective marketing angle.

My kids attend an A rated public school. No tuition costs for me.

How do you know where his kids go to school, where he lives and the route he took to get there?

Do I need to know these things to know all the roads and schools are bad?

because every square inch of SELA is the exact same, right??

I mean it's these kind of posts that just prove people don't know what they are talking about.

The city has many faults... but the worst parts of the city do not extend to all of the area.

You need to know those things before you make such a retarded fricking comment like you just did.

Seriously bro, are you really retarded? I’m asking as a friend.

It's pretty laughable when people that are willfully ignorant to all the shite that goes on where they live calls somewhere clueless. You may like living there and if you do, great. That doesn't change the fact that the city is in disarray

So what if he doesn’t live in nola. That still doesn’t answer my question. Where would you assumed he lives if he took bad roads and pays $10k for his kids to go to private school?

I don't know, I think they could make it sort of like that hot chip challenge or something...to survive or not get mugged as a tourist in New Orleans. Have people filming themselves like the other challenges out there. It might bring in more tourists. People love attention. It will get pretty real when the first one gets mugged on facebook live though and could backfire.
