Research. You should try it.

Why? If you were presented with it you would deny it because your head is so far up your arse it's irrelevant. For the 1pth time it seems, it's awesome that you are happy there, but your personal happiness doesn't change the fact the by and large New Orleans is shitty and only getting worse. Of course there are concessions in every city, but I'd say avoiding one part of town and having to bolt all your shite down or hope your car doesn't get stolen are on a different level.

You don't even live there so there's no point in arguing with you anyway.

No, it’s not and If you believe that you are an idiot.

Of course the chances of something bad happening exists everywhere, but that doesn’t mean it occurs everywhere on the same level that it does in New Orleans. People who live here too long forget that things like having to chain down patio furniture or getting held up eating at a restaurant at 10 pm aren’t “normal” occurrences.

As you post safely from your Metry home

You've posted this three or four times now. Is Paul Allen not giving you your weekly massages or something?

Seriously, I got offered a deal on a family home in Metairie that I couldn't refuse, so yes I'm in Metairie. It's value is now worth double what I paid and I owe that in small part to how Nola is doing.

One kid goes to school in Nola, another one will be there in two years. My wife works there. I hope I can be working there next year. I ride in a Nola MG krewe. My whole social life it seams revolves around Nola it seems since I'm always there for dinner, concerts, festivals, and charity events.
I have nothing against Metairie at all, but when I can hop in the car and be in Nola in 3.5 minutes, is there a real problem with posting about and defending the city. That's kind of the way it works. As soon as I get these kids out of college, I think we will get a condo in the city to live in full time.

Well I do have a few problems with Metairie. The lack of good beer bars, cocktail bars, non smoking bars sucks. And we need a few places with some nice outdoor dining and drinking.

And it may come of a surprise, but I had a car stolen ( that was for sale so worked out great), my lawn and garage equipment stolen, and my bike stolen. It is what it is.

Btw, I filled in my location as Metry so you can hopefully stop losing sleep over that.
