Ben Franklin, as far as public schools that's about it

I'll happily shite on LA but Houston and Dallas inner city schools aren't shining examples of public education either to my knowledge. Most people that brag about the schools live 20+ miles outside of the city limits in some lily white suburb

Highland Park, JJ Pierce, Lake Highlands, Richardson High, all within 20 minutes of downtown, all good schools.

That’s it? 4 good schools in a city the size of Dallas?

Well no, I just gave you 4 I'm familiar with that are close to downtown. There's dozens more as you get farther away, but that's not what you asked.

Lake Highlands may be, not sure. The other three aren't, but that's pretty irrelevant. Highland Park, for example, is their own ISD, but it's about 5 minutes from downtown.

Why is that relevant?

new orleans is one of the best cities in the country. it's too bad your odds of being a victim of violent crime are probably the highest in te country.

So you have to live somewhere to know the roads and schools are bad? Interesting theory.

You have to realize, you’re dealing with ardent Nola defenders. They think the city is some hidden gem that only a local could ever understand.

Yeah, the ol' "I expected myself and family to be murdered but didn't" day. Love those kinds of days.

Yeah, it's kind of lowering the bar when you define a day as good because you didn't get robbed or murdered.
