Took my 7 year old daughter and her two friends to the city today. Parked on the street on S. Peters. Walked to the children's museum. Had a wonderful time there with people of all walks of life. Then, walked to the Riverwalk. Bought beignets and sat out on the balcony looking out over the river. We ate beignets and watched the cruise ship depart. Then, walked back to my car, which was still where I left it, and drove home.

Never once did I feel unsafe, threatened, followed, etc. According to the O-T, even though it was a Sunday afternoon, I'm lucky I didn't die. In fact... it was a very nice day in a wonderful city.

Is "I didn't die today" really something to hang your hat on?

I lived there for 2 years and have been hundreds of other times. I've never even been robbed. I must be doing something wrong

Yeah, the ol' "I expected myself and family to be murdered but didn't" day. Love those kinds of days.

At least you didn’t spray anyone in the face with a water hose.

Things would have turned out much different.

The only person I do that to is my wife (no pics) when she's wearing a white shirt...

Nice, I didn't know they had one in the Riverwalk as well. Love that area, and the Hilton.
