So is the biblical objection that the guy hasn’t married the daughter as well?

I am OK with polygamy if the rules of chaste behavior are otherwise respected. That said, a man who can afford two wives shouldn't be mooching vacation money from his in-laws.

The Bible doesn't seem to favor that.

the old testament did but the new testament did not.

"godly" men such as Abraham, Israel, Judah, Gideon, Samson, David, and Solomon had multiple wives.

Solomon had 700 wives, who were princesses, and 300 concubines.

The first account in the scriptures that we read of polygamy is in Genesis 4 when we read of the descendants of Cain, Adam and Eve’s firstborn son.

"And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah."

Genesis 4:19-22 ESV

But in reference to the OP, none of this shite matters. The husband in the OP does not have two wives. He has a GF and a wife that seems to be fine with the husband having a GF.

Point me to the scripture.

The first account of what God intends for marriage to be was Genesis 2.

I don't think you've really spent much time in the book.

I’ve read it cover to cover twice, on top of hearing it read at church twice a week for about half of my life. You?

Ok, straight up, that was one of my first thoughts. If this dude is slinging enough weight to have two steady women, he can pay his own way to Greece. Hell, he should be paying for the whole family

The daughter isn’t married. I wouldn’t blame her for what a guy shouldn’t be doing

I know Secret Service guys. Trump was a world class arse towards them. If it's any consolation they liked Melania and Ivanka and Pence....buuuut they liked Barack . I 'm not endorsing Carter or his Presidency, but I think he is a decent man who had failed policies. Trump is not as decent a guy on a personal level, but his policies were sucessful
